A great day to race! The weather was great, the sun was setting below the tree line, the course was easy.................mostly...................As the only community college in the meet the Angles captured 9th out of 10 full teams, with a 1-5 average of 23:15, which is almost a minute better than the first race last year. The pack time of 1:20 needs to be closer, but a good start for the young Angels to test their wings...............(sorry). The ladies in Blue were led by Rylee Brammeier in a time of 22:36 over the 5K distance, next in line was Gracie Morgan in a time of 22:56. The the number 3 counter was Alli Lammers crossing in 22:59. To have 3 under 23 minutes in the first race is a great start for the season. Ivy Donoho, the queen of Strava was the 4th counter in the time of 23:50, next was Ryann Becker in the time of 23:56, which is an improvement of A LOT from her first race last year! Kyndall Sturgeon finished in 24:19, followed by teammates Tessa Drueke in 25:12, Lucy Walters in 26:09 and Cora Hill in 26:29. Side note....three of the Blue Angels developed some issues but never shut down. Everyone battled and there was a lot of postives to that take from this first meet.
