NJCAA Region 24 Meet

After the race at Region 24

The Region 24 DII championships will be one of those races you will talk about in later years. The good, the bad, and the mud. At least it wasn't raining. Heartland Hawks were the team champions, the Blue Devils a distance second. Ty Reynolds battled with the top 4 of Heartand for most of the race and ended up 8th over all and 6th in the DII race. Alex Detmer was the 2nd counter for the Devils, followed by a tough race by Sam Britt. Caleb Klein and Kolton Shoemaker ere the next two to finish for the KC men. Andrew Stevenson muddied his way though next, followed Ryan Gerdes, with Alex Huegen coming in next. "Just seem to be another race day, when the weather was part of the battle, the men ran hard, times were slower, the condition probably added about a minute to their times. Hoping to have better conditons at the Nationals." After the awards ceremony, that there were no awards for (back ordered or something) several members of the KC cross country team help get the van used by the timing company unstuck from the mud. After about 30 minutes Ross showed up and help get the van out of the muck." Community Service hours, the hard way!"
